Cannes has a large selection of accommodation on offer within close proximity to the ports, whether that’s a hotel or apartment, there is something to suit all budgets. We recommend booking accommodation in advance if you haven’t already done so.
Where to eat
Cannes offers a great range of restaurants and cafes for all cuisines, almost too many to choose from. Many of the local style restaurants serve classic Mediterranean seafood dishes. Cannes is the perfect place for cheese and wine lovers.
Things to do
If you’re planning to be in Cannes for a few days and want to explore outside of the boat show on your trip then there are plenty of other things to do.
The Boulevard de la Croisette is one of the most fashionable streets on the French Riviera, stretching 2km, it is a great place to stroll along and see the main sites of Cannes including the Palais des festivals and La Roseraie (Rose Garden).
Cannes is famous for its white sandy beaches with great views of the Mediterranean waters. The Croisette Beach is ideally located between both ports, worth going to after visiting us at the festival.
If you have time, its worth exploring Le Suquet, the small old fishing village where the city was founded, it boasts small cobblestone streets, plenty of cafés and great views from the Cathedral at the top of the hill.
If you want to venture outside of the city, we recommend visiting Nice, Monaco or Eze, the hilltop village, all of which have lots to explore.
