Key Yachting to Exhibit Diverse Collection of Performance Yachts at Southampton Boat Show

Key Yachting Ltd will exhibit six boats at the Southampton Boat Show from 15th September, including one model that will be making her show debut. Step aboard all of these boats on marina berths M427-433, the show runs until Sunday 24th.

J/112E – Grand Prix version

This multiple award winning, two-cabin performance cruiser, is now available as a Grand Prix version. Fresh from her Round the Island victory, the J/112E GP features full race upgrades, including an IRC friendly keel without bulb, Axxon high modulus carbon mast with carbon spreaders, carbon boom and carbon steering wheel. She is  also equipped with 3DI race sails and B&G H5000 with a Zeuss 3 plotter. This will be the first UK show for this formidable new IRC weapon, which has already won four French regattas this year.

The J/112E joins her sisterships, the J/97E and J/122E, as an exceptional upwind performer. V-shaped bow sections provide superior directional stability and reduced slamming in waves. Freeboard forward and topside flare help to keep the deck dry. A long waterline combined with a low vertical centre of gravity results in a smooth, sea-kindly motion – more like that of a 40 footer.

The Nautitech Open 40

Now into triple number production figures, the Open 40 is Nautitech’s third design from Marc Lombard, France’s leading designer of performance multihulls. Lombard boats combine elegance, sea-keeping, and high passage speeds with the renowned Nautitech interior design. This, Nautitech’s 3rd generation 40 footer, features twin helm positions, a transom passage to give easy access from one hull to the other, rigid bimini which offers complete shelter to the cockpit, and gracefully inclined forward saloon windows to create a sleek and elegant profile. Everyone who steps onboard is pleasantly surprised by the sociable, open plan cockpit through to saloon, which is all on one level, as are the helmstations. 2018 will bring an exciting new facelift to the Open 40, be amongst the first to see visuals at the show.

The Nautitech Open 46

The big sister to the extremely successful 40, the 46 is the latest addition to Bavaria’s new ‘Open’ range of multihulls. Featuring vast living spaces, maximum comfort for long passages, and ultra modern finishes throughout, the Open 46 is a cruiser’s dream. This model features many welcome features found on the 40, including twin helm positions, transom passage, giving easy access from one hull to the other, rigid bimini, giving complete shelter to the cockpit and gracefully inclined forward saloon windows, creating a sleek and elegant appearance. The Open 46 is available either with twin helm stations, a flybridge, or as a Powercat.

The Tofinou 8

Crafted by French boat builder Latitude 46 for over 25 years, the Tofinou range is a very distinctive brand of classic day sailers and weekenders, with models from 7m to 16m in length. On deck the Tofinou 8 is sleek, elegant and extremely easy to manage. Underwater she has a modern hull profile with very efficient keel and rudder. Tofinou 8s are used on the classic regatta racing scene in the Mediterranean and as daysailers throughout the waters of Europe. The Tofinou 8 is also available as a lifting keel version for those who sail in shallow waters.

Team Spitfire,GBR 123,J70

The J/70 is J Boats’ first slipway-launchable keelboat – designed to fulfill the growing need for an easy to own, high performance one design, that is exciting to sail, stable enough sailboat for the family, and built to last. A natural evolution of its J pedigree, the J/70’s 7m of sailing length with high aspect, all carbon rig and deep lifting keel, provides spirited performance and stability that feels like a much larger boat. There are now 70 boats sailing in the UK, with an active class association and one design programme. An incredible 170 boats are signed up for the Worlds in Porto Cervo this September.
