Grand Soleil at Cannes Yachting Festival
Fabulous is the only word we can use to describe the Cannes Yachting Festival. The show takes place in Port Canto at the end of La Croisette, a palm tree lined boulevard, between the beautiful sandy beach and the coastal road, which is littered with designer shops. Flights from Gatwick are under £100 per person, so it’s an ideal getaway!
Cannes is a principal show in Grand Soleil’s calendar, with the Italian brand often choosing this venue to debut new launches. For 2019, Grand Soleil will unveil the 42 Long Cruise.
Grand Soleil 42 LC World Premiere
With a handful of boats already sold off the drawings, this model is on track to repeat the success of her predecessor, the 46 LC.
The 42 LC is available in two versions; standard and sport. The former offers a carbon arch over the cockpit, designed to keep this area free of the mainsheet traveller. She is also fitted with seats at the twin helms. As standard she has a furling, self-tacking jib, flush deck hatches, and carbon bowsprit. Options include an electric swim platform, electric winches, and furling mast.
The sport version will be on display at Cannes. She features a more open transom, hydraulic backstay, taller mast, and a conventional mainsheet set up which leads to one point on the cockpit floor.
The 42 LC is available with either two or three cabins.
Long Cruise means increased storage, enhanced comfort, bigger water tanks, a transom garage, crew locker, and much more.
Grand Soleil are hosting a special evening to celebrate the launch, on Tuesday 10th September. If you would like to join us at the show and the launch, please call us or email email@example.com.
The 46 Long Cruise, 48 Performance, and 58 Performance complete the line-up.
