2006 J Boats J/109

Cowes, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom

£83,500

The J Boats J/109 is a fantastic cruiser/racer with a well established one design class featuring
a retractable bowsprit and asymmetric spinnaker system as well as a 2-cabin interior layout with
standing headroom. She is designed with a long waterline and generous sail plan giving the
speed for competitive racing and stability for relaxed cruising.

There is a popular one-design regatta circuit in the UK and Ireland, with an active and inclusive
class. The boats race on a level rating basis at Cowes Week, J/Cup and a number of other Class
events throughout the year.

'Jazzy Jellyfish' has been brilliantly maintained by Jellyfish Charters Cowes, chartered for regattas and other race events. She is a ready-to-race boat with full safety kit and a generous sail wardrobe included in the inventory.

As well as J/109 class compliant non-overlapping light and heavy jibs she also benefits from two North 3Di overlapping genoas in perfect condition, ideal for IRC racing or fast cruising.

The Volvo D1-30 inboard engine has been regularly serviced with the waterpump being recently replaced as well as the saildrive seal replaced in 2018. The spars and standing rigging were replaced in 2017 as well as upkeep of the halyards and sheets, replaced when needed.

This great J/109 is ready for the 2022 season, or even the frostbite series if you are feeling brave!
