Tadorne

Introduction

Launched in 1991 and like a big sister to the Tofinou 7, the Tadorne immediately aroused interest and admiration. Like the Tofinou, the hull and deck are made of polyester, with a teak and varnished mahogany finish. Her 8m comfortably welcomes up to 6 persons on-board.

The self-draining cockpit is large and spacious, with all halyards, sheets, reefing lines, engine handle and furling jib at an arm’s reach for the helmsman. Down below, the atmosphere in the cabin is warm and welcoming. The fittings are very functional and constructed with care in satin-varnished mahogany by talented woodworkers. The two lateral front berths are upholstered with a pretty canvas sheet, chosen to complement the appearance of the hull. A small stove is integrated in a cubby-hole locker, and a stainless steel sink has pressurised water. There is a toilet beneath the front berth.

The Tadorne is a fast sailboat, stiff under sail. It will take you far away over the weekend or longer.
