The 542 is Nautitech’s first design from Marc Lombard, one of France’s leading designers of performance boats. Lombard has taken Nautitech qualities and enhanced them with elegant styling, more effiicient hull lines, added a high aspect sailplan, and produced a worthy flagship. Several 542 owners have opted for a carbon fibre mast, coupled with composite standing rigging, thus achieving custom boat performance.
With its two steering positions, the 542 is a pleasure to helm under sail from the windward side. This configuration also maintains the boat’s fluid lines and increases the cockpit area. The 542 is capable of high daily mileages and speeds in excess of 20 knots can be achieved in optimum conditions.
The 541 has a single central helm position and is available in a fly bridge version which is particularly popular in the charter market. Both the 541 and 542 have all the principle sail controls led to the helm station thus ensuring easy shorthanded operation of the boat.
Many people say the 542 is the most elegant of the range and the contemporary interior form leading French designer Frank Darnet continue this theme.
For the 542, Nautitech are keen to work with the owner to customise their catamaran. A wide variety of timbers, varnishes, fabrics and linings are available.
The 541 and 542 are both available with either 3, 4 or 5 cabins.
